Welcome to the Official Rusty J Website and Blog!

Hey Yall.
I have a few thoughts about releasing my first music video.
Well, it took a long time to get it shot, edited and released.
It's a fun and time consuming endeavor.
Singing infront of a camera is an interesting thing. It's not like singing for a group of people or a crowd.
When I perform for a crowd, it's kinda like fight or flight. If I give a bad performance, it'll be obvious right then and there.
The interaction with the crowd kinda forces me to "turn it on".
But when you're infront of a camera performing,
it's just an the crew.
You still have to turn it on, it's just a different experience.

Rustifarian's. Here's we were on the FRONT PAGE of the Palladium Times.

Rustifarians, Welcome to the Official Rusty J website and blog.
Today is an exciting day!
My first music video is being released today. Check it out. =)

WELCOME TO THE OFFICIAL RUSTY J WEBSITE AND BLOG.
On January 18, 2012 I will release my first official music video.
It's titled "I Just Wanna Know"
Here's a sneak peak pic.

ARE YOU RUSTIFIED?

I drove to 40 of my fans houses in Los Angeles and Beverly Hills and gave them tickets to 7 shows.
Those performances generated enough interest to receive 3 management offers.
I signed one.
It didn't work out.
I wrote a jingle that would play on national television for 3+ years.
Following my heart and running from my fears, I went to Australia for 2 years.
I wrote a book, recorded an album and built this website.
Online, I met a DJ from Italy who would later produce a song of mine titled "Dream Control" that is currently on the radio.
I fell flat on my face in Australia,
but as my amazing and supportive parents said to do, "I picked myself up by the boot straps."
I came back the USA a changed man. I have LIVED on the other side of the world... not just visted.
I reconnected with my family and friends with a new found appreciation for their support and love.
I "re-met" a girl that I went to 7th grade with and it turned into a whirlwind love.
I shot a music video and wrote 10 acoustic songs.
I am on the Hero's Journey.
I am Rustified.

I made a big decision this month...
and it will effect the course of my life.
Maybe to my detriment at times...
but when I make a decision, I'm unwavering.
I always think to myself,
one habit of highly successful people is they make calculated decisions and then don't second guess.
They admit defeat when they lose,
but never afraid to take action and live life to the fullest.
I'm all in, my chips are on red.

In the last 6 months,
I have put around 100 miles on the Segway i2 in Beverly Hills, Downtown LA, Venice Beach and Santa Monica.
I've also met some awesome and interesting people.
Here's a shout out to a few Rustifarian's:
Trevor, Paul, Kenny, Ben, Courtney, Kayla and Dara.
Segways are go!

This is a picture of Santa Monica Beach.
I spend a lot of my time here.
Things I love:
The warm sun.
The taste of the cleansing sea air as I breathe it in deeply.
The sound of the relentless waves beach, they sound like a lullaby.
The little birds that run back and forth on the shore poking their heads in the sand.
The gorgeous view of the Malibu mountains to the right.
Memories from the cliffs of Palos Verde to the left.
The vastness of the ocean, the undiscovered world of the sea.
I love... the beach.

T - and i love you - W

When you really want to do something, but for some reason procrastinate...
just get the ball rolling.
Example:
When looking for a job, you greatly increase your chances of financial gain by simply...
applying.
Don't let the first steps feel so daunting that it paralyzes you.
Take action, small steps eventually equal great gains.
Be Rustified!
p.s.
sometimes i wonder if i'm telling YOU this, or if i'm posting it to remind myself.
probably both. =)

I will feel...
ALIVE.

Rustifarian's!
Welcome to the Official Rusty J Website and Blog!
Happy New Year!
I truly hope that you had a great New Year and that you are happy, healthy, loved and inspired.
I had a sensational New Years Eve.

12:30pm
Court side at the Lakers with my girlfriend, who had never attended an NBA game.
Epic.
COURT SIDE!
7:00pm

A Concert at the world famous and prestigious Walt Disney Concert Hall.
The internationally famous Pink Martini performed.
This was especially... special...
because my girl and I have had so many great moments while Pink Martini
acted as the beautiful sound track to our time together.
9:30pm

To honor an exceptional performance,
We had dirty martini's, next door, at The Patina.
We sat in the two chairs on the left in this photo.
10:15pm
Taxi ride to The Noe.

5 course meal and a champange toast.
A truly Rustified way to close 2011.
2012...
